CISS Islamabad hosted a high-level delegation from the Republic of Türkiye, led by H.E. Irfan Neziroğlu, Ambassador of Türkiye to Pakistan. The delegation also included Ramazan Erdağ, Chairman of the Center for Strategic Research at Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Berk Ece, Deputy Head of Mission; Prof. İsmail Numan Telci from Ibn Haldun University; and Mehmet Köse and Çağla Ece Atay Zaimoğlu, Third Secretaries at the Turkish Embassy in Islamabad.
From the CISS side, the meeting was attended by Amb. Ali Sarwar Naqvi, Executive Director CISS; Maj. Gen. Shahab Shahid (R), DG Arms Control and Disarmament SPD; Dr. Bilal Zubair, Director Research; Dr. Rahat Iqbal, Associate Director Research; Maryyum Masood and Murad Ali, Research Officers; and Areesha Manzoor, Research Assistant, who presented an introduction to CISS.
The discussion focused on regional developments, strategic cooperation, and opportunities to strengthen Pakistan–Türkiye relations through academic and diplomatic partnerships.
