Beijing, China – September 24, 2025 – The Center for International Strategic Studies (CISS), Pakistan, led by Executive Director Amb. Ali Sarwar Naqvi, visited the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR). The delegation was received by President Fu Xiaoqiang, together with experts from the Institute of South Asian Studies and the Center for Arms Control Studies.
President Fu Xiaoqiang emphasized the enduring nature of the China-Pakistan partnership, stating, “In an era marked by growing global uncertainties, cooperation between China and Pakistan continues to provide stability and momentum for regional peace and development.†He expressed CICIR’s strong willingness to enhance academic exchanges with CISS.
In response, Executive Director Naqvi highlighted the complexity of the current international landscape and the pivotal role of South Asia. He affirmed that Pakistan consistently prioritizes its relationship with China and stated that “CISS seeks to deepen collaboration with CICIR, aiming to amplify the voice of developing countries and jointly safeguard the positive trajectory of China-Pakistan cooperation.â€

This has significantly strengthened dialogue between Chinese and Pakistani think tanks. Constructive outcomes are expected to positively inform future policy discussions and contribute to the enduring China-Pakistan partnership and regional stability.
