Ms Anum A Khan, Associate Director Research (CISS), was invited by the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) in Beijing, China, where she joined the Roundtable for AI, Security and Ethics (RAISE-3) – a collaborative initiative by UNIDIR, held in close partnership with Tsinghua University’s Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS).
This third edition of RAISE brought together policymakers, researchers, and industry experts from across continents to engage in candid discussions on the implications of AI in international peace and security, including its military dimensions. The engagements combined multistakeholder dialogues, closed-door sessions, and visits to leading Chinese institutions shaping AI thought and governance.
