As an illustration of our commitment to excellence in policy research, analyses and outreach, the CISS Summer Workshop for Learners on Strategic Matters was organized from 7-9 August 2023. Participants, including students of Matric/FSc, O/A Levels, and University freshers, were provided a unique exposure to the evolving global and regional strategic environment, nuclear order, Pakistan’s nuclear policy and deterrence, and the role of peaceful uses of nuclear technology in Pakistan’s socioeconomic development. Study visits to PIEAS, PINSTECH, and IST were designed especially to invigorate the students in their future academic and professional pursuits. The participants appreciated the workshop to be an excellent experience and stressed upon repeating and expanding the initiative.
