CISS Islamabad is excited to announce the CISS Distinguished Lecture featuring Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman
HEC Pakistan, who discusses the evolving role of research organizations in national security & development.
Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed sheds light on the changing landscape of warfare. In today’s era, it’s not just about missiles but also about the complexities of fifth-generation warfare. Drawing from experiences in conflict zones like Syria, Yemen, and Morocco, he emphasizes the importance of addressing internal issues to fortify nations against such destabilization tactics.
He also identifies pressing challenges: the exodus of thousands seeking degree attestations to leave Pakistan and academia needs to engage youth. He said a void is being exploited by external actors, and solutions demand a multidimensional approach, enhanced coordination, and organizational ownership.
