The Centre for International Strategic Studies (CISS) held its first workshop outreach from 29th August to 1st September at Nathiagali. The workshop was titled as “Introduction to Pakistan’s Nuclear Policy: Training the Trainers,” and it was inaugurated by the Executive Director CISS, Ambassador Ali Sarwar Naqvi. Faculty members from different universities of Pakistan participated in the workshop. The learned scholars and nuclear experts of CISS team (Dr. Naeem Salik, Dr. Mansoor Ahmed, Dr. Syed Javaid Khurshid, Mr. Zawar Abidi and Saima Aman) delivered the lectures on a whole spectrum of issues relating to Pakistan’s nuclear policy and doctrine and their evolution. The aim of the workshop was to engage the academic circles on nuclear issues and polices and develop greater understanding and cooperation between universities and research think tanks. Lieutenant General (R) Mazhar Jamil, Advisor National Command Authority, concluded the three-day workshop by delivering a brief talk and distributing certificates to participants and organizers.
